Blue Ridge Mountain Cloggers

   CHRISTMAS PARADES 2008

The Christmas parades are always a special event for the dancers of BRMC.  First it is just a special time of the year to share with friends and families that you have been special to each of us.  It is also a bit of a laid back atmosphere that is an excellent change of pace from the competitions that have been such a part of our fall schedule.  This relaxed atmosphere is also great for many of the new dancers that are making their debut performance with Blue Ridge Mountain Cloggers.  This years Christmas Parades were equally memorable as new and experienced dancers had a chance to meet each other and to work together to shine for BRMC.

This year we participated in the Walhalla and Salem Parades.

Thanks to the Cheerleaders... they were a special addition to our lineup in the Christmas parades.  It starts with pre-parade cheers and continues through the parade to the very end with smiles and special memories.  Many of these same girls are also beginner dancers and we enjoyed seeing them as both dancers and cheerleaders. Sometimes their lines were straighter and more precise than those of the experienced dancers.  Keep it up.

Walhalla is always a special parade for us in that many of our dancers are from this area and it is a chance for our dancers to show off their skills for friends and family in this area.  It is also special because it is a night time parade that gives it a special feel and atmosphere.  The lights, the chill in the air and the sparkle of our uniforms all work together to make for a very special effect.  This is also a great time for our dancers to share good times with each other.

With Salem being the hometown of Blue Ridge Mountain Cloggers it is always a very special parade.  There are so many special friends at this parade that it is always the one to be at.  This year there seemed to be more entries in the Salem parade than any year in the past.  Once again this year our dancers gave a high energy performance that was enjoyed by the parade watchers as well as the dancers.  Just watching the dancers as they enjoy themselves performing is wonderful.  This year, several new dancers signed up after watching the BRMC dancers in the parades.
